 2024 Season Schedule Full of County Rivals!

      The release of the 2024 Red Lion Football Schedule did not disappoint those fans who wanted to see a return to the "County Schedule".

      While the Lions open up the season at home vs the 2023 5A District Finalist Mountaineers of Ephrata, every other game will be played against a member of the YAIAA. This includes traditional rivals such as Week 2 opponent, the BUlldogs of West York, with which the Principal's Cup (established in 1949) goes to the winning school each year. Red Lion currently owns a 3 game winning streak against the Bulldogs.

       Weeks three and four will be played on road against historic opponents York Suburban and Susquehannock. Despite sharing borders with both schools, it have been nearly 2 decades since they have played Red Lion on the gridiron! 

       Week 5 see the Lions enter Division play at the always explosive York Bearcats. The following week will be homecoming weekend as the Lions welcome the Mustangs of South Western.

       The Lions have 2 straight away games at Spring Grove and Central York before return to the friendly confines of Horn Field to enter the regular season.

        A week 9 matchup with the Bobcats of Northeastern will be the main attraction for the Youth Night festivities. Our Seniors will make lifelong memories as they take Horn Field in Week 10 against That School Down the Road!
