Zach Menzer had a terrfic performance and the Lions improved to 2-0 with a 48-14 home win vs Waynesboro.
Making only his second varsity start, Menzer dominated the play and the stats.
"He's playing like a veteran. You forget he's making his second start," said Lions coach Jesse Shay. "He's doing remarkably well."
When asked which side of the ball he was most pleased with, Shay said the 48 points scored by the offense.
"Just because its all newer skill positions players. We have new quarterback, new running back, new wide receivers. And we have a sophomore, with only one senior on the offensive line. We knew our defense would be really good."
While always quick to credit offensive coordinator Taylor Green, Shay gave props to Kyle Masser (wide receivers), Chad Donagher (running backs) and offensive line coach Tom Bell.
